Saraswati Efua Arthur is the founder and team leader of The Reading Factory. She has a Bachelor's and Master's in English Education and Curriculum Studies, respectively, from the University of Cape Coast, Ghana. She has over 10 years of experience in teaching various facets of education. Her advocacy for quality education has seen her provide continuous support for teachers in building their knowledge base in play-based learning, active learning pedagogy, and the rudiments of a positive learning environment. She is a literacy expert and is currently an Academics Manager with the Rising Academies Network. She previously took a consulting
position for Kaya Childcare to design independent play content for out-of-school children. She is a President Obama Young Leader (cohort 9-civic leadership), an alumna of Teach for Ghana, and a recipient of the Best Literacy Idea Award in the Bayport 2018 Teacher Innovation Competition.
